Over the past few months and years, fundraising efforts for projects at Trinity Pines have left us with some outstanding balances. There are several reasons for this:
Most of the projects center around the amphitheater stage, carpet replacement, restroom remodels, RV shelter, and Snack Shack expansion. These projects have added to the value of the camp and services that can be provided to our guests.
The monthly financial support we receive from so many of you is vital to the regular operations of the camp, scholarship program, maintenance reserve, etc. Therefore, we are rolling out a new approach called PROJECT Ø, to help us pay the remaining project amounts and bring our balances to ZERO.
We want to identify 200 giving units per month – each unit worth $75 – for only five months (June – October 2015), over and above your regular financial support, to help us reach our goal. We are asking you to commit to paying one or more units per month, and we want to involve as many partners as possible so this will not be a heavy financial burden on a few. When our balances reach ZERO, we will be able to move forward with a clean slate. If you decide to commit to more than one PROJECT Ø giving unit, please let us know so we can maintain our records going forward.
I always remember the wise counsel from a faithful partner – “If you don’t share the need, how are we to know how to pray or give to meet the need?” He went on to say, “Without you sharing the need, we just assume everything is in full operation and has no wrinkles.” Well, this is one of those wrinkles, and we are seeking your support and investment to help smooth out financial operations.
Please be sure your donation is clearly marked as PROJECT Ø. We will keep you posted through Camp Monthly as to our progress. Thank you!
- Pledges made, but not paid - 2X2 Challenge (carpet replacement), Get Plugged In (transformer relocation), etc.
- Memorials for projects that paid for only 90%
- Some costs, not anticipated originally, to fully complete the project
- Due to timing, projects increasing slightly in costs
